Day #89 - Signs of Spring!

Everything is now starting to look and feel like spring! There is even some color poking through, in a form of a crocus!

I've photographed this local tree before. I just love the character in its gnarly features! Decided to process it in B&W for added contrast.

Day #83 - The Long Road

After a VERY long winter, it seems as though spring may finally be here! On a walk, I ventured across a railroad track, with partially melted snow. It made for an interesting picture with great contrast!

Day #82- Sheepish

Had a "farm breakfast" at a nearby sugar house this morning, and afterward checked out the barnyard. These two were enjoying their own version of breakfast. If you look carefully you can see the single "sheep path" they had created from their covered enclosure to their trough. Guess they wanted to conserve energy by sticking to the beaten path!

Day #81 - Sugary

It looks like fresh fruit, doesn't it? However, it's actually candy - perfect for the end of a very long week!

Day #80- Intersections

So glad I brought my camera to school today. As I was walking down the hall, I was drawn in by the primary colors in this design made by a student. The design is kind of a metaphor for my life from time to time! Now it's not Macro Monday, but extra points if you can identify this piece of math equipment!

We were yet again graced by a snow fall yesterday. But, unlike last blizzard, the snow created somewhat of a blanket, covering everything so evenly.

Another snow storm today. Our wood pile is under cover and drying out for next year! Happy that we're prepared!

Was shopping with a friend after school today, and found this cute little fellow- just in time for Easter! How cute is that?

This was a difficult picture to take. I had to keep everything in focus, except for the turning wheel, but I think it came out pretty well!

Day #72- First Crocuses

I'm afraid this isn't a remarkable shot at face value. However, throw in the fact that these are the first crocuses of the year from outside my school, in addition to the fact that this was shot at about 5:15pm in plenty of daylight.... Things are looking up!

Day #71 - Colorful Kitty

I think it's cool how there is so much color around Graham, yet he is very gray. I love how it makes him stand out!

Things around here are finally starting to show some color, not just gray and white. It's so nice to see!

It's time to set the clocks ahead again. Always takes me a week or so to adjust. The light later at night will be mighty encouraging, though!

It seems like winter is never ending this year, however, just today I witnessed crocuses poking out. Hopefully this is a sign of what is soon to come, just like these shells!
