This was a shot of our cat as he was cleaning himself, however, it does look as though he is yelling at someone!

Day #30- Murky

It's been an unusually warm day, and much of our snow has melted. The down side is that it's also been very cloudy and foggy as well. I processed this shot with a "Fresco" filter. I really like the stark effect.

Day #27 - Sparkle!

This is a glittery and sparkly lamp that is in my room! It was kind of hard to photograph, because the glitter was moving constantly.

Day #26- Flippin' Through

My daughter just finished mid-terms for the last time in high school. She was excited, to say the least! More to come next year in college, though!

Day #25 - "In God We Trust"

This is a "daughter post". It's a re-creation of a photo that I took for my digital photography class. I really focused in on the nickel.

Day #24- Boot Season

Yup, it's boot season! I've got to say- my class does a great job of lining them up and keeping them out of the hallway. "Best boots in town, friends!"

Day #23 - Angel Overlooking

This is a re-creation of a picture that I had taken for my film photography class. I love how the angel's shadow overlooks the ground. The rule of thirds helps to make this picture more powerful!

Day #22- Fresh Coating

An Arctic front came through this afternoon and coated everything in a dusting of white. At least it's the kind that is easy to move- fluffy and light!

Day #18- Grate

The other day we got a slippery coating of snow. This was all that was visible along the path as I walked out for recess duty. Interesting patterns in the snow!

Day #17 - Blanket of Snow

This morning I woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow covering everything. I just love how everything looks after a fresh snowfall.

Day#16- Smoky Crescent

This shot was actually taken yesterday, but I really liked the blue tones. I shot something like this a few years ago, but wasn't lucky enough to get the moon too. This time of year our wood stove gets fired up on a regular basis!

Day #15 - Come Sail Away

This is a day late, but this ship was calling for its picture to be taken. I especially like it in black and white!

Day #14- 7:19pm

Finding outdoor options for shots is limited this time of year- it's rare lately that I leave work in daylight, plus it's usually cold. So about this time each night (on the days it's my turn to post) I start scouring the house for a subject. Ah! Found one!

Day #13 - Big Ball of Fur

This picture is very rare. Our cat does not usually tolerate his picture being taken, but he was very patient with me taking his picture. I edited it in Photoshop to make the background black & white, but kept him in color. I think it makes him really POP!

Day #12 - Glass Bulb

This is a glass bulb that waters plants for a extended period of time. I loved the way the colors in the glass formed.

Day #11- Coasting

This is called find a last-minute save for today's post when daughter is too tired to do so. Love these Crate & Barrel coasters!

Day #10- Christmas Cactus

Snapped this shot of a Christmas cactus in a colleague's classroom. It's not Christmas, but this sure was a beautiful burst of color!

Day #9 - One After the Other

I thought this shot was cool, as it had many glasses, one after the other. As each glass got farther and farther away, the blurrier it got.

Day#8- Hematite

Snapped this unusual shot of my new hematite necklace- a gift for the holidays. Apparently it is supposed to have strong grounding energy. I need all the help I can get!

Day #7 - It's Almost Time!

People always told me that the time passes by so quickly, but I never really believed them. However, I changed my mind when I received my tassel for graduation today. I can't believe how fast things have gone by. It was just yesterday I was playing outside at recess.

This light in my home caught my attention, as there was more than just a light. The glass has different details molded on it, which makes for a pretty funky looking light!

Day #1- Sitting By The Fire

This is the first picture of our 365 blog! Getting inspiration can come from something so simple as sitting by a blazing fire. The fiery orange coming from the stove caught my attention, along with the numerous pairs of boots and logs lining the stove.
